Here’s how it happened. Not long after the first Star Wars movie came out, I was working in the Waldorf bookstore. My boss and mentor, Werner Glas, stuck his head in the doorway and said, “Douglas, a friend of Marcia Lucas is on the phone and she has too many questions for me to handle. Would you please speak with her and answer all of her questions?”
I met Marcia once and worked with her and a group of three or four other Waldorf teachers who were in training at the Waldorf Institute in Detroit, Michigan. I am not sure of the exact dates, but I believe it was either late in 1974 or early in 1975. Between six months to one year after working with Marcia, I was working at the Waldorf Institute bookstore when I received a phone call from Kathleen Kennedy. At the time, I did not know her Hollywood connection. I thought she was a student interested in attending the Waldorf Institute. I just knew in passing that she knew Marcia Lucas.
Spiritual development is about integrating the inner with the outer and finding the wisdom in both. To find wisdom, we seek all the places where life springs forth anew. Living-thinking springs from a heart that has “warmed up” thinking. This higher thinking, Imagination, has the power and brilliance to see “into” things, both within the self and in the outer world around us. Burying our head in the sand or withdrawing into our shell doesn’t advance spiritual development; it is interaction between the inner and the outer that quickly develops the soul and spirit.
The third volume of The Gospel of Sophia series is available through Amazon. This is the culminating “hymnal” of the First Church of Sophia Christos and outlines the self-initiation process of the Seventh Seal. Whether studying alone or in a group, you can awaken to Sophia’s love and wisdom as She guides you to higher dimensions of truth and awareness.
Every spiritual tradition has reverence for the elders who are called many names: ascended masters, descended avatars, bodhisattvas who become buddhas, the Mother Lodge of the Sun, the Masters of Wisdom, saints, prophets, tulkus, arahats, yogis, yoginis, yidams, great initiates, shamans, kahunas, deities, devas, and hierarchical beings, to name but a few. The distinctions between these vastly different ranks of human and spiritual beings are often confused and deserve clear definition so that discernment can follow.
Beware a Jesuit Pope parading as a humble Franciscan who denounces the greed of all nations and yet displays nothing but greed. Beware the Dark Force of the ideologies of materialism that hope for the incarnation of a new Jesus Jihadist who wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. Beware a Church who has lost its connection to the very being who it was created to serve – Jesus Christ. Beware the false prophets and anti-Christ’s who preach sermons using Christ’s words to mean the exact opposite. This is the time to learn spiritual discernment and Darth Francis is a great place to practice seeing through his words to his truly evil intent.
